Who We Are

Mythrune Atodyssey Fitness is a Canadian fitness facility located at 2890 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 3J4. We're in the business of helping folks build legendary strength and endurance, but we're also pretty serious about keeping your personal info safe.

Look, we get it - privacy policies are usually boring as hell. But this stuff matters, so we've tried to make it as clear as possible. If you've got questions after reading this, just shoot us an email at forge@mythruneatodyssey.info or call us at (604) 555-0847.

  • Mailing address (mostly for membership cards and the occasional promo material)
  • Date of birth - gotta make sure you're old enough to join our warrior training
  • Emergency contact info - because safety comes first, always
Health & Fitness Data
  • Medical history and health questionnaires - helps us keep you safe during workouts
  • Fitness goals and assessment results
  • Training progress and workout logs (if you're using our Quest-Based programs)
  • Injury history - we need to know what movements to modify
Payment & Membership Info
  • Credit card or payment details (processed securely through our payment provider)
  • Membership type, duration, and renewal dates
  • Purchase history for classes, personal training sessions, etc.
Technical Data
  • IP address, browser type, device info when you visit our website
  • Facility access logs - when you check in and out
  • Security camera footage (for safety purposes only)

We're not gonna sell your data to random companies or spam you with junk. Here's what we actually do with your info:

  • Provide our services: Managing memberships, scheduling classes, tracking your progress through our Quest-Based programs
  • Keep you safe: Using health info to create appropriate workout plans and prevent injuries
  • Communication: Sending appointment reminders, class updates, facility news (you can opt out of marketing stuff anytime)
  • Payment processing: Handling membership fees, class bookings, and personal training sessions
  • Improve our facility: Understanding which programs are popular, when peak hours are, what equipment gets used most
  • Legal compliance: Meeting requirements under Canadian law, tax purposes, etc.
  • Security: Protecting our facility and members through access controls and surveillance

Bottom line: we use your data to run the gym better and give you a safer, more personalized experience.

We don't just hand out your info to anyone who asks. Here are the only situations where we'll share your data:

Service Providers
  • Payment processors (for handling transactions securely)
  • Email and SMS services (for sending you updates and reminders)
  • Cloud storage providers (where we securely store your data)
  • Accounting and legal firms (for business operations)

All these providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements

If we're legally required to share info (like a court order or to prevent serious harm), we'll comply with Canadian law. We'll always try to notify you first unless we're prohibited from doing so.

Emergency Contacts

If there's a medical emergency, we'll contact the person you've listed as your emergency contact and share relevant health info with medical professionals.

We will NEVER sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Period.

Security's not just for our facility - we take protecting your data seriously too. Here's what we do:

  • Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted both in transit and at rest
  • Secure servers: Your data's stored on secure Canadian servers with regular backups
  • Limited access: Only authorized staff who need access to perform their jobs can see your info
  • Regular audits: We review our security practices regularly and update them as needed
  • Staff training: Our team's trained on privacy best practices and confidentiality
  • Physical security: Paper records are kept in locked cabinets with restricted access

Look, no system's 100% foolproof, but we're doing everything we reasonably can to keep your info locked down tight. If there's ever a data breach, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

We don't keep your data forever - that'd be weird and unnecessary. Here's our retention policy:

  • Active members: We keep your data as long as you're a member plus 1 year after cancellation (for any outstanding issues or if you decide to rejoin)
  • Financial records: 7 years (Canadian tax law requires this)
  • Health & safety records: 7 years after your last visit (in case of any liability issues)
  • Marketing data: Until you unsubscribe or we haven't heard from you in 3 years
  • Security footage: 30-90 days unless there's an incident that requires longer retention

After these periods, we securely delete or anonymize your data. If you want us to delete your info sooner (and there's no legal reason we need to keep it), just ask - see "Your Rights" below.

Under Canadian privacy laws (including PIPEDA), you've got some solid rights when it comes to your personal info:

Access

You can request a copy of all the personal data we have on you. We'll provide it within 30 days (might take longer for complex requests, but we'll let you know).

Correction

If something's wrong or outdated, you can ask us to fix it. This is super important for health info - always let us know if your medical situation changes.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your data (sometimes called "right to be forgotten"). We'll honor this unless we're legally required to keep certain records.

Opt-Out

Don't wanna receive marketing emails? No problem. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or you can contact us directly.

Withdraw Consent

If we're processing your data based on consent (not legal requirement), you can withdraw that consent anytime. Might affect our ability to provide certain services though.

File a Complaint

If you think we've mishandled your data, you can complain to us first (we'll try to make it right), or go straight to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at forge@mythruneatodyssey.info or call (604) 555-0847. We'll need to verify your identity first (for security reasons), but then we'll get on it.

Our website uses cookies - those little data files that help websites remember you. Here's what we use 'em for:

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for the site to work properly (like keeping you logged in). Can't really turn these off without breaking stuff.

Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how people use our site - what pages are popular, where folks are clicking, etc. We use this to make the site better.

Marketing Cookies

These track your browsing to show you relevant ads (if you've looked at our Warrior HIIT Classes, you might see ads about them later). You can opt out of these.

You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though this might affect how the site works for you.

Yeah, we've got security cameras throughout the facility. Here's the deal:

  • Purpose: Safety and security for everyone - preventing theft, monitoring for emergencies, resolving disputes
  • Locations: Common areas, entrance/exit, workout floors. NOT in changing rooms, bathrooms, or private training areas
  • Access: Only management and security personnel can view footage
  • Retention: Footage is kept for 30-90 days unless there's an incident
  • Notices: There are signs posted throughout the facility letting you know cameras are in use

If you're in the facility, you're consenting to being recorded. If you've got concerns about specific camera placements, talk to us.

Our programs are generally designed for adults (18+), but we do offer some youth training programs for ages 14-17.

For members under 18:

  • We require parental or guardian consent before collecting any personal info
  • Parents/guardians can access, correct, or request deletion of their child's data anytime
  • We only collect what's necessary for the program and safety
  • We don't send marketing communications to minors without parental consent

If you're a parent with questions about your kid's data, reach out to us directly.

Privacy laws change, our business evolves, and sometimes we need to update this policy. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • For minor changes (typos, clarifications), we'll just update the page
  • For major changes that affect your rights, we'll notify you by email and/or post a notice in the facility
  • Your continued use of our services after changes means you accept the new policy

We recommend checking this page occasionally to stay informed. Or just trust that we'll let you know if anything important changes.
